Terms and Conditions

Introduction

This document establishes the terms and conditions under which Rutamax offers the car rental service through its website. Rutamax offers the car rental service through its web site. rutamax.com (hereinafter "the Platform").
By using our services, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. Terms and Conditions, as well as to comply with the necessary requirements for the formalization of the rental contract, including the delivery of the corresponding contract, including the delivery of the corresponding documentation and security deposit.

Rental Requirements

To complete the rental process, the tenant must submit the following documentation and comply with the established requirements:

  • Recent proof of address (not older than three months).
  • Valid official identification (INE or passport).
  • Valid driver's license, valid in Mexico.
  • Credit or debit card in the tenant's name for guarantee and deposit.
  • Security deposit (variable depending on the model of the vehicle).

In addition, the renter must be over 25 years of age (or the minimum age specified in each reservation).
Rutamax reserves the right to deny service if any of the requirements are not met or the documentation is not valid or legible.

Reservations and Payments
  • Reservations are made through the Platform or by direct contact with Rutamax.
  • To confirm the reservation, a deposit or full payment is required, as indicated on the Platform.
  • Prices include VAT and applicable additional charges.
  • The amount of the security deposit will be retained at the beginning of the lease and released at the end of the lease, provided that there are no outstanding debts, damages or violations.
Delivery and Return of Vehicle
  • The vehicle will be delivered at the agreed date, time and place.
  • The lessee must return the vehicle in the same condition in which it was received (fuel, cleanliness, accessories).
  • Delays in return may result in additional charges per hour or extra day.
Vehicle Use

The lessee agrees to:

  • Use the vehicle only for legal and private purposes.
  • Do not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances.
  • Do not allow unauthorized persons to drive the vehicle.
  • Not to use the vehicle in competitions, speed trials, illicit activities or off authorized roads.
Insurance and Coverage
  • All vehicles include liability insurance in accordance with Mexican law.
  • The lessee may contract additional coverage (e.g., property damage, total theft, road assistance).
  • In case of accident, the renter must immediately notify Rutamax and the insurer, refraining from admitting liability without authorization.
Cancellations and Refunds
  • Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance will be fully refunded.
  • Cancellations with less than 72 hours may generate a penalty of up to 100% of the advance payment.
  • No-show on the rental date will be considered a "No Show" and will not entitle to a refund.
Lessee's Liability

The lessee is responsible for:

  • Fines, violations, tolls and penalties during the rental period.
  • Damage caused to the vehicle not covered by the contracted insurance policy.
  • Loss of keys, documents, license plates or vehicle accessories.
Rutamax Limitation of Liability

Rutamax will not be responsible for:

  • Loss of personal belongings inside the vehicle.
  • Damages caused by acts of God or force majeure.
  • Unavailability of the vehicle due to external causes (strikes, natural phenomena, etc.).
Privacy and Personal Data

Rutamax is committed to protect the personal data of its clients in accordance with the Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Individuals in Mexico.

Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States.
Any controversy will be resolved before the competent courts of Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, Mexico.
